Your Privacy Rights

Scout Data · Last updated June 23, 2026

Texas and California residents have specific rights regarding the personal data Scout Data processes. This page explains what those rights are and how to exercise them.

Submit a request

The fastest way to exercise your rights is through our intake form.

Rights you can exercise

  1. 01
    Right to know and access

You have the right to confirm whether Scout Data is processing your personal data and to access that data, including the categories we hold, where we obtained it, and the categories of third parties to whom we have transferred it.

  2. 02
    Right to correct

You may request correction of inaccurate personal data we hold about you, taking into account the nature of the data and the purposes of processing.

  3. 03
    Right to delete

You may request that Scout Data delete personal data provided by or obtained about you, subject to exceptions allowed by law.

  4. 04
    Right to data portability

Where the data is available in a digital format, you may request a copy of personal data you previously provided to Scout Data in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format that allows you to transmit the data to another controller without hindrance.

  5. 05
Right to opt out of the sale of personal data

You may request that Scout Data stop selling your personal data to third parties. "Sale" means the exchange of personal data for monetary or other valuable consideration.

  6. 06
Right to opt out of targeted advertising

You may request that Scout Data stop processing your personal data for purposes of targeted advertising — advertisements selected based on personal data obtained from your activities over time and across non-affiliated websites or online applications.

  7. 07
Right to opt out of profiling

You may request that Scout Data stop profiling you in furtherance of automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, such as decisions about housing, financial services, employment, or insurance.

  8. 08
Right to limit use of sensitive data

California residents may request that Scout Data limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information to purposes specified by law.

  9. 09
    Right to non-discrimination

Scout Data will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny goods or services, charge a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised your rights.

How verification works

Scout Data must verify your identity before acting on a request. We match the information you provide against the records we hold (your name, mailing address, and where applicable phone or email). If we cannot match you with reasonable certainty, we may ask for additional information limited to what is necessary to verify identity.

Authorized agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. The agent must provide written, signed permission and we may contact you to confirm the designation before acting on the request. Submit authorized-agent requests using the intake form and select “Authorized agent request” as the request type.

Response timelines

Appeals (Texas)

If we deny your request, Texas residents may appeal that decision by emailing privacy-appeals@scoutdata.com. We will respond to appeals within 60 days and explain our decision in writing. If we deny the appeal, we will provide information on how to contact the Texas Attorney General to submit a complaint.

Non-discrimination

Scout Data will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. We will not deny goods or services, charge a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised any of the rights described on this page.
